Traditional Healing & Teachings

image5

My Medicine name is Dancing Hawk and as a Woman of Cree ancestry, I use Traditional Native Healing to  offer guidance and help with many of life's challenges, as well as more conventional  therapy.

Why call LifePassages ?

Call me, because I am unique in my work with people, weaving the Teachings of my Elders into

the work I do.

I will be honest with you and let you know what I am seeing, feeling and hearing from you. Together we create a space for you to  discover  and connect with  your intuition, potential , and  true life  purpose.

Find your path to WELLNESS

I named my company LifePassages,  to acknowledge the life stages we go through in this human experience.   Each  stage has its own teachings, and we look to the Four Directions for guidance and healing of Mind, Body and Spirit.

I have been a Psychotherapist in private practice for over twenty years, working with individuals, couples, families and women's groups. My education includes a Master's degree in psychology, a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

My approach to Healing

I believe  that we as Humans have lost our way in the world, due to past trauma or other life events.  My Elders say we have 'lost our Original Instructions' and need to be guided back to our Truth through the use of Traditional Teachings & Healing. This approach is what a Healing & Teaching Lodge provides.

What is The Four Directions to Wellness?

'The Four Directions' is a concept people relate to as being part of a continuum, focused on connecting Spiritual, Physical, Emotional & Intellectual parts of self as seen in the wheel on the left. Each direction coincides with aspects of living in balance in the world, and when one direction is out of sync it affects the other three.

Individual Therapy

After your initial call for counselling, we will set up an intake appointment to review your reasons for seeking out therapy.  We work on specific goals and time frames so we can assess your progress. If appropriate, other treatment modalities may be recommended.

Couples Counselling

People often seek couples counselling when they are having difficulty with communication. I use an Emotionally Focused Therapy Model (EFT) which addresses issues that block healthy communication, with the goal to feel a deeper connection to your partner.

The Teaching Lodge

The 'Lodge' is a gathering place where we come together in a circle, for drumming, singing and ceremony. Some circles will be for healing and others for teachings. Please stay connected to learn about upcoming events.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidenced based, integrative psychotherapy approach for the treatment of trauma.

I am a Certified EMDR therapist with much success offering this form of treatment.

Reiki Therapy

As a Reiki Master(Usui) I might suggest a Reiki treatment which is a non-invasive hands-on healing technique, used to clear or unblock energy imbalances in the body. Once cleared, people  experience more peace  and energy in their lives.

Additional Services

I offer the Emotionally Focused Freedom (EFT) technique to assist with mental, emotional, physical & most other issues. Check out the tapping solution app for more information.
